  • Do not purchase a heating cable the same size as the area to be tiled; this will be too much heating cable!
  • Be sure to only measure the open floor area and not under objects such as cabinets and tubs.
  • Never CUT the heating cable. This would change the cable resistance and could lead to a fire.
  • Cable spacing of 3 studs is standard. Use alternating 2-3 stud spacing for uninsulated slab sub floors. This method can also be used to use up cable.
